Susan Rayburn

I began collecting Radko ornaments about 7 years ago after I received "Littlest Snowman" as a gift from a friend. I initially bought the more traditional molded Santas, trees, snowmen, limited editions, licensed pieces--especially Disney, etc. Since then, my tastes have moved to Italians, balls, drops, and more vintage looking pieces.

I love to decorate with ornaments for each holiday, in addition to Christmas when I host five trees--all Radko. My favorite holiday ornaments are 4th of July and next Halloween. The molded ornaments seem to work the best for these. This season I created a Halloween collage inside my collectibles display table. I started with a silky satin bright purple fabric that is covered with clear paillettes that create a sparkling shimmer. Then I covered it with a black lacey fabric creating a spiker web look.

Inside I carefully positioned the following Radko ornaments adorned with bright orange and jet black ribbons: Halloween Pooh, Trick or Treat Pooh, Trick or Treat Tigger, Hot Head, Monster Mash, Jack O'Lantern, Pumpkin Eater, Trixie Treater, Spirit Swirl, Pumpkin Twist, Wanda Twist, Kitty Swirl, The Eyes Have It Gem, Leader of the Patch Jr., Giggles and Booh, The Boo! Boys, Witch Eyes, Red Devil, Sleepy Hollowhead, Fly By Night, Black Cat, Field Friend, Kitty Patch, Night Flight, Home Cookin', Hoppy Halloween, Boo Bug, Polter Patch, Pirate Patch, Spider Besider, Squash Man, Halloween Clown Snake, Trick or Treat, and Jet Elegance Garland. My table makes a wonderful conversation piece and allows me to see my beautiful ornaments every time I enter my family room
