Touring the Living Room
| | |
The best thing about collecting is using all the stuff to decorate. Christmas is when I usually go all out, pulling out all my Santas, displaying lots of holiday cookie jars and decorating quite a few trees. Unfortunately this year I've not been able to decorate as much as I normally do, but there are still a few things I am particularly happy with. The long living room is always a challenge and this year I went with a 7' white metal tree filled with approximately 150 gold, white and red glass ornaments. To make the tree stand out even more, it's in a rotating tree stand and raised about 24". The glow of the lights and ornaments makes the whole room sparkle.

I wish I could take credit for the idea of using an "outdoor" white metal tree in a rotating stand, but I must credit Terry Zinn for his fabulous decorations which always inspire me!
