2003-04 Upper Deck Victory Basketball

From Mike Eisner, for About.com

Lebron James
Sep 23 2003
If you are looking for your fill of LeBron James, look no further than the new Victory basketball series by Upper Deck.

Jam-packed with LeBron James rookies and inserts, this set is sure to please even the most advanced collector with its all-foil subsets and serial-numbered parallels. As part of the regular set, there are 30 foil-laden “Rookie Orientation” cards including LeBron and Carmello Anthony, as well as a host of other top draft picks. In addition to the Rookie Orientation subset, the set boasts 7 other subsets including the 6-card “Farewell to a Legend” which is dedicated solely to “His Airness” Michael Jordan.

Victory packs a punch far greater than its $1.99 cent suggested retail price per pack. The 230 base cards (including sub-sets) are black-bordered with top-notch photography. The 36-pack box allows the collector 36 chances at pulling a LeBron James rookie card.
