New York, NY - Nov. 19, 2003 - With LeBron James displaying flashes of brilliance early in the season, fans have been rushing to eTopps.com to purchase the LeBron James IPO. (image attached)

The etopps experience, which combines what people love about sports -world class athletes, the drama of competition, a ticking clock and real stakes-with unique trading cards and the Internet, begins with the sale of IPOs--“Initial Player Offerings”--of new trading cards sold exclusively, in limited edition, on etopps.com. Once purchased, most owners of etopps cards elect to have their cards physically remain in the possession of Topps and tracked in a personal online portfolio. Alternatively, buyers can have their cards delivered to them, in uncirculated mint condition (in a tamper evident acrylic case).

Only etopps cards held in their personal portfolio can be “traded” (bought and sold) on The etopps Trading Floor hosted by eBay, the world’s online marketplace. Portfolios are constantly updated to reflect the latest card prices on the etopps Trading Floor on eBay and consumers can track cards and market trends on the etopps Trading Floor Summary page.

Currently, etopps is offering 2003 Basketball with 6 IPOs per week and will continue throughout the NBA season. This week the site is also offering Ben Wallace, Jermaine O’Neal, Bobby Jackson, Jason Kidd and Steve Blake. etopps cards are offered during limited ordering windows and in very limited quantities (1,000 - 10,000 each). Once the IPO closes, the cards are never offered again. The price for each card is between $4.00 and $9.50
