Now, some of you might balk at spending close to $75.00 for a pack of baseball cards, and rightfully so.

But I am sure that once you lay your eyes on the new 2003 Leaf Limited baseball product by Donruss/Playoff, your sentiments will shift.

After ripping through a 4-pack box of Leaf Limited, I can honestly say that this may be the highest-quality set ever produced by any card manufacturer. Not to mention the level of excitement contained in each 4-card pack, which by the way is packed in it’s own mini-box.

Our experience with this product was, shall I say - overwhelming. For starters, we pulled an autographed game-jersey card of Eric Chavez, serial-numbered to just 25 copies. In addition, we scored a game-used bat of Alex Rodriguez serial-numbered to 25, and a Mike Mussina dual game-used jersey patch and bat, also serial-numbered to 25! The last card we pulled was a Johnny Bench game-used jersey patch, serial-numbered to 50!

As if the memorabilia cards weren’t enough, the icing on the cake has got to be the base cards, which are all serial-numbered to 999 or less. Some of the names we pulled were Alex Rodriguez, Roger Clemens, Vladimir Guerrero and Lou Gehrig. In addition, we pulled 2 gold parallels, Deion Sanders and Curt Schilling, which were each serial-numbered to just 50 copies.

Though I mentioned this earlier, every pack of Leaf Limited contained a pile of excitement a mile high. From the packaging to the memorabilia cards to the base set, 2003 Leaf Limited has earned the right to be dubbed “High-End Product of the Year.”
