It's hard to believe that 2003 marks the 10-year anniversary of the first Topps Finest set, and for that matter the refractor. Where have all these years gone?

Packed 3-mini boxes per Hobby box, this year's Finest is jammed with relics, inserts and the ever-popular refractor parallels.

Each mini-box is guaranteed to contain one relic and 2 out of every 3 mini-boxes are guaranteed to contain an autograph. The autograph may be from the special "Team Topps Legends" collection, or be one of 10 true rookie cards including the likes of Brian Bullington and Daryl Clark.

Packed in each hobby box is a factory sealed pack containing a serial-numbered uncirculated Gold refractor. We were lucky enough to pull an autographed Craig Brazell rookie card in our box, which was serial-numbered to just 199 copies.

In addition, our box also contained a Willie Mays "Finest Moments" autograph, which depicts him in the act of making his famous "basket catch" in the 1956 World Series. Some of the other "Finest Moments" autographs include Ernie Banks, Gary Carter and Orlando Cepeda.

Also back for an encore are serial-numbered "X-Fractors" and the ever-popular "refractor" parallels, which are not serial-numbered this year.

This set also contains the first super-premium rookie card of Yankees rookie pitcher Jose Contreras.

We were very pleased with the 2003 Topps Finest product. The base card design is top-notch and contains top of the line photography and is printed on high-quality card stock.

It is still hard to believe, though, that it has been 10 years since the first Topps Finest set was released. Thanks, Topps - for the memories.
