If Betty Boop is one of those cute cartoon characters that you've been drawn to over the years, this is would be a great addition to your collectibles resource library!

Guide Review - The Definitive Guide to Betty Boop Memorabilia

Leonard Ellis' book, "The Definitive Guide to Betty Boop Memorabilia", is another colorful feast for the eyes from Hobby House Press. Take my word for it, I have many dozens of price guides, but only a handful do I consider a feast for the eyes. The book is laid out, a little differently than many, with colorful backgrounds on each page. This in turn makes the text and pictures really pop out. I also liked the way values were explained further with the terms "Common - Very Rare", which would help a beginning collector to decide whether to purchase an item or perhaps wait for a better example to become available. The one drawback is the book only covers about 10% of Ellis' collection, explained by this statement: "Unfortunately, only a small portion of my original research and documentation is included within due to my design to make an affordable book for Betty's many admirers." Hopefully this means a second book is on the horizon.
