What are Kugels?

Kugels were among the first Christmas ornaments made in Germany, heavy glass balls, color in glass that ranged in size from a tiny 1" to 30" across. A tree filled with Kugels is an amazing sight, but if you want to start collecting, make sure you're not paying antique prices for a reproduction piece.
