When I was a novice collector I would ask the experts tips and ideas on my new collection. One well-known expert "helped" me out with tips on the best way to clean cookie jars.
We always wash ours in the dishwasher I was told. It didn't take me long to figure out that tip wasn't very helpful and in fact damaged one of my jars. Oh well, I learned not to always believe everyone.
But I do promise that my tips on cleaning pottery cookie jars won't hurt or ruin your collection.
