The nominations have been counted and the finalists have been chosen for the seven categories on the Collectibles site have been an interesting mix of newbies and old-timers. Some of the categories have had surprising results, hang with me a bit as I tell you more about them.

  • First on the list is the Best Blogs and Websites for Collectors, there's certainly no argument from me here or even discussions. When doing searches, and during my own personal web browsing, these are all websites I visit time and time again.

The four finalists are: @Quid; Collectors Weekly; Cool & Collected; I Antique Online.

If one of these are your personal favorite, be sure to give them a little love by voting in the poll. Remember you can vote once a day!

  • Facebook, Pinterest or Twitter? Which one of these very popular social media sites is the best for your collecting habits. If I had to pick one, I know it would be hard for me to decide which one is the best. They're all good. But unfortunately that's not the purpose of the poll. We want to know what one YOU think is best.

Did I mention voting is open until March 21? Lots of time to help out your favorite!

  • Favorite Holiday Company -- If there's one thing collectors like, it's the holidays. We love to celebrate and often holiday stuff is what lots of folks start collecting first. So what do you think. Would you vote for a glass ornament company like Old World Christmas or Radko? Perhaps it might be a company that produces a wide range of collectibles like Department 56 or Kurt S. Adler. But right now the leading vote-getter is Celebrate 365, a printed publication that keeps collectors in the loop on what's new, as well as featured articles on the companies and artists who produce the collectibles.
