Mystery Antique of the Week

By , About.com Guide   January 17, 2012

Follow me on:

Love this metal thingamig I found in a store this weekend, something that I was tempted to bring home even though I had no use for it!

  • Size: 4 - 5 "
  • It's actually two pieces, but it's hard to see the second piece (on the bottom)
  • Circa: 1930s (approximate)
Thoughts, comments, guesses? The first correct answer and the most creative answer gets a mention in next week's newsletter -- so tell me what you think!

Last week's Mystery and answer.

It’s a metal ‘word bubble’. (As seen in a cartoon) It’s metal because it was made in the thirties. They don’t make things like they used to!
