Love this metal thingamig I found in a store this weekend, something that I was tempted to bring home even though I had no use for it!
- Size: 4 - 5 "
- It's actually two pieces, but it's hard to see the second piece (on the bottom)
- Circa: 1930s (approximate)

It has a nice shape and calls out to be picked up, but I have no idea what it is.
A bowl or pan scraper.
It’s a metal ‘word bubble’. (As seen in a cartoon) It’s metal because it was made in the thirties. They don’t make things like they used to!
I think its a leather shaper – differnet edges for different shapes and the second one is for if you are making shoes that the left and right foot should match….?
They are leather shoe shapers so that the left and right foot should match?
Metallic faerie wings
I’m guessing a tool for tanning hides…the old fashioned way.
A metal mailbox.
It’s a mold to make a bird’s wing. Maybe out of glass or porcelain.
Perhaps a type of flask. If you turn it up side down it is shaped like it could be.
due to the date ….this has to be a cigar trimmer.
It looks like a shaper for making leather gun holsters.
I like Carol’s answer, looks like it could scrape as well as soften and shape.
Where is the answer?? I have a hard time finding it after it’s posted. All I get is everyone’s guesses.
Could this be a chocolate mold?
