Any thoughts or ideas?

Looks like a wine opener to me. Two blades which go in along the cork
The winding key from a tin of sardines.
Two prongs corkscrew. Failed invention.
I too believe it’s a key for a can of fish product, etc.
Shoehorn for someone with tiny feet.
Bottle opener
How about a Spam key?
I’m going with the wine bottle opener too. Saw something like that maybe 30 years ago. Didn’t work so hot.
Bottle opener. The other part is for lifting soda tabs.
It could be for vetinary puroposes. To administer medicines to animals without getting bitten! I have seen larger and similar examples such as this which are used for horses & cattle.
Looks like the wine opener you can still buy today, along with it to be able to open bottles also.
Bottle opener, Remember when these were called “church keys”
It looks like a bottle opener to me.
The yoke at the top does look like a “church key” bottle opener. The beveled spot at the inside base of the oval would fit under the edge of a bottle cap.
Definitly it is a wind-up tool for fish cans and other similar cans to open them up
I don’t know what it is; but I know it isn’t a can opening key. at 4.5″ it is much to large. Besides, there is no slit for the metal strip to fit into.
I believe it to be a winding key for a can of “Spam”
Definitely a wine opener as described above!
bottle opener and shoe horn
child’s scissors
It’s a bottle opener, plus wine key, the bottom portion should slip off exposing two prongs.
