I won’t guess on item since I have them from Wisconsin
Hah Helen! Isn’t it great.. love it!
to screw on the back of a broom to hang it up cheers
Prosthetic for Captian Hook’s small son?
It looks like it could be for a hanging lightbulb but where is the cord? The broom handle idea sounds good but I’d be afraid of poking or hooking something while I swept, ditto for Garden tools. Also 2 inches just doesn’t seem big enough as the width only appears to be about 30% of the length at best. It’s got to be for something about the size of a small thumb. Reminds me of the end of a bungee cord maybe it fits on a garden hose. But that would be inconvenient becasue you’d have to removie it before use. How about a cork puller
me thinks the correct answer has been posted, but i really wanted it to be some sort of christmas lights/bulb/hanger of sorts.
I’ve never seen one of these, but I did wonder why some broom handles have screw grooves on both ends. Makes sense now.
it sure looks like the end of a bungee cord to me….
My guess is its used for hanging Xmas ornaments.
could this item be a cap for a wine or whiskey bottle that one could hang in a liquor cabinet?
Agreed with some other comments that it is screwed onto broom handle and used to hang ornaments or lights in a tree??
My next wild guess is that there is a second part not shown which screws in the other end over a fold of fabric or plastic and voila a tarp or drapery hanger.
Just started to use it? used to hang onions, garlic, herbs for drying after harvest? Some kind of cork screw?
Could it be a candle extinguisher?
It looks something like a corkscrew – or an old wine bottle opener. Am I correct???
don’t know what this is but…if I had one, I would cut holes on two sides of an empty plastic soda bottle, put in bird seed, screw it into this dodad and hang it from a tree branch.
is it a hot water bottle screw cap holder ?
It’s a cork remover!
