75 Cookie Jars, 400 Teapots and 700 Salt/Peppers
Tuesday June 24, 2008
That's some of the interesting collectibles being auctioned off this weekend, June 28, in Woodstock, Va at Laughlin Auctions. Only a handful of items are pictured on the auction site and it's a bit of treasure hunt to find them. There's no direct link, so click on the site's auction calendar and follow the links for the June 28th auction.
Meanwhile another cookie jar auction is being held the same weekend in Mitchell, SD. 200+ jars will be auctioned off on Saturday by Dean/Edwards & Associates. Pictures on the web site.

I was to the SD aution. This autionear did the seller a great injustic, by not giving maker, history, and condition of the jars as they came up for bidding..Also jars before the sale were 40 to 45 percent damaged, and jars set out on tables to close together, causing more damaged, I bought one for 70 dallors and took it back and my buy ticket crossed out(because of new damaged. I did get 11 jars, I have 400 plus in better shape. I would not have picked this guy to sell my jars.
