Have you ever wondered why some collectors don't redecorate or paint as much as other folks? It's because we have to move all this darn stuff, clean it and then move it back! This week we're doing some painting and wallpapering in the kitchen and laundry room. This is just some of the jars we've moved from the top of the cabinets and shelves, there's lots more under the tables. And no, I didn't empty anything, this stuff was all on display.

OH MY GOSH..YOUR PLACE LOOKS JUST LIKE MINE..HOWEVER, MY MOTTO THIS YEAR IS TO SIMPLIFY SO I AM STARTING TO UNLOAD..MY KIDS DON’T WANT ME TO LEAVE IT FOR THEM TO HAVE TO GO THRU!hahahaha
I always loved Terry Kovel’s comment, I don’t have the exact wording, but it was something like — we’re leaving it to them and they’ll get the rewards, so they can figure out what to do with it. Wish I would remember exactly what she said, but I sure laughed when I heard it.
Just saw your pic on redoing your Kitchen. I have same problem, that’s why I take forever to decide if I want to go that route. Funny to see I’m not the only one !!!
Yes it took me forever to decide to do that. If you think this is a mess you should have seen when we carpeted and had new floors put in. Had to empty two HUGE storage closets, as well as the furniture out of two rooms. My main thought was — at my age, at least I’ll never have to do this again!
We are both retired and have decided to downsize our household. What the best way to get rid of a cookie jar collection totaling around 400 cookie jars. Does anyone know of a good auction house in Missouri.
