The USPS announced a $7.70 flat rate priority mail package. Zone and weight do not matter (up to 70 lbs) -- you can fill the box up and mail it for $7.70. The box is not huge, but I know it can definitely save me bucks on some of the boxes I ship. There are two size boxes, eBay branded boxes can be ordered on eBay, unbranded boxes can be ordered on the USPS web site.
When Bill Cobb, President of eBay North America, announced some feedback changes -- the applause was wild! Although it's a small change, it is a start with more to be coming. The biggest change is when an eBay "newbie" tries to leave a negative or neutral comment. Before they can leave the comment, they will be given information on trying to resolve the problem before comments can be made. And the way I understood it, if a negative comment is made by a new person to eBay, who leaves within 90 days, the comment will be removed. I'm not 100% sure on how this will work, but will try and find out more.
After talking to the category managers, I'm encouraged by the steps they are taking to help reduce fakes and frauds on eBay. Although it can never be stopped, I think they are going in the right direction.
Although I don't have specific names and associations to report, eBay is definitely talking to the right people. Time will tell whether it will work out, but I'm more encouraged than ever that the right steps are being taken.
