The company started in 1994 on the dining room table, and were first sold in a handful of coffee houses in Los Angeles, California. Interest grew and within a short time Kalinka's cards were featured in national catalogs, high-end boutiques, the gift shops at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and Nordstroms.

Each distinctive card takes approximately one half hour to create. And if you tell the How Nice! Greeting Card company that you read about them on the Collectibles site, they will give an additional 10% discount.
